Your Transmission is equally exposed and one good knock on it renders your Wrangler completely disabled. Thanks to our unique design we are also the only skid plate system to fully protect your Dual Catalytic Convertor system on 2007 - 2011 3.8L engines!

Our 3/16" thick skid plate is made from a solid sheet of steel then bent, formed, and hand welded into it's highly protective shape. Designed to fit both the 2007-2011 3.8L and 2012-2015 3.6L engines plus transmission and dual cat system.

Our system is cut and formed from a single sheet making it smooth and seamless. This gives you a true skid plate without rock catching and high centering flaws found in low-budget alternatives. We do more than just protect your oil pan, transmission, and dual catalytic converter system from straight on impact though - we have flared the sides of our skid plate upwards for side impact protection that also helps glide you off the obstacle rather than high center.

RH4x4 was the first to use laser cut and precision bent drop brackets that use your frame, not motor mount, as front support locations. This means our skid transfers zero engine and transmission vibration thought your chassis. This allows your motor and transmission to continue to flex in their mounts naturally without bracing them to your frame rails - completely negating the cushion motor and transmission mounts are designed to provide. This makes for a smoother and quieter ride like factory without the creaks, ringing, vibrating, and harsh performance of inferior systems.

The rear of our skid plate mounts to your transmission cross member. Included in our RH-6000 and RH-6000-LA hardware kit are exclusive and in-house produced "rock dome" bolt head protectors. These domes keep your bolt heads safe and accessible and versus damaged and sheared off.
